October 1 - 3, 2016
Holdfast Bay Bowls Club, SA
The Australian Under-18 Championships are headed to South Australia in 2016, with Holdfast Bay Bowls and Croquet Club confirmed as this year’s venue.
Holdfast Bay is no stranger to holding major events having co-hosted with Lockley’s Bowls Club the highly successful 2012 World Championships.
Staged from October 1 - 3, each state and territory’s 10 best juniors, five boys and five girls, will converge in the city of churches competing in singles, pairs, triples and fours.
Over the years, the competition has proved to be a successful nursery for the likes of Commonwealth Games gold medallists Lynsey Clarke and Mark Casey, as well as current Australian Jackaroos Kelsey Cottrell and Rebecca Van Asch.
Players must be under 18 years of age as of October 1, 2016 to be eligible to compete and must be selected by their state or territory association.
Don’t miss your chance to be involved in the 2016 Australian Under-18 Championships.
