| The venues for the Australian Open 2009 will be Shepparton Park Bowls Club (primary venue) and Mooroopna Bowls Club (secondary venue). Shepparton Park Bowls Club was opened in 2006 and incorporates three excellent quality tiff dwarf greens, with two greens being floodlit for night matches. The new $2.6 million venue was the result of the amalgamation of the former Shepparton and Kialla Park Bowling Clubs. Mooroopna Bowls Club also has three supurb quality tiff dwarf greens. |

Both clubs are located within Greater Shepparton, an easy two hour drive north of Melbourne, with the clubs being less than 10 minutes apart. Bowls Australia will be organising transport from Melbourne Airport prior to the event, along with transfers between the venues whilst both venues are operating. Specific transport details will be available closer to the event. |
Seating will be erected for the duration of the event at Shepparton Park to cater for over 500 spectators. The venue has shade structures around all of the greens, and offers an indoor retreat from the sun, with toilets and changerooms located within.
Indoor and outdoor viewing areas will be available at Mooroopna for several hundred players and spectators. Mooroopna also offers shade around each of their greens.
